The Peninsula Picnic

The Mornington Peninsula in Victoria is the most beautiful place that you can be in Victoria I say.
I have loved this place since I first moved down to the Peninsula back when I was 18 and have been living back and forth ever since. There is so many amazing attractions that bring tourists to the Peninsula for.

This weekend Mornington Racecourse is hosting the Peninsula Picnic;

The Peninsula Picnic is the most extensive food, wine and music experience ever created on the Mornington Peninsula, showcasing the very best local chefs, resident restaurants, and expert vignerons and vineyards. Discover the hidden gems from the region’s leading producers, growers, orchardists and gourmet storeowners set to the serene soundtrack of some of Australia’s finest live music acts.
Create your own perfect picnic on the day by matching our specially curated tasting plates, meals, and produce with heavenly Peninsula wines. Unfurl your picnic rug and enjoy your ensemble with family and friends whilst being serenaded by The Waifs, Paul Dempsey, Pierce Brothers, Tinpan Orange and Hayden Calnin.

With a country harvest atmosphere, The Peninsula Picnic takes place over one day in the leafy and sea-salted surrounds of Mornington Racecourse, and is the recipe for that perfect regional escape or family day out.

Our Mornington home is literally around the corner so a short walk to enjoy the Peninsula Picnic will be on the cards for our family.
As you know the Peninsula is home to some of the best Victorian vineyards that produce delectable wines, why not make a weekend of it and explore the rest of the Peninsula whilst you are down for the Peninsula Picnic.
